Agrozem Advisory Services Company was founded in Nis in 2010 in order to stimulate economic development of agriculture in Nisava District.

Founders of Agrozem Advisory Services Company are SPUNO - Advisory Agricultural Association of Nisava District and LEDIB – Danish Local Economic Development Programme.

Agrozem activities are based on the needs and ideas expressed by agricultural producers, and they include working with the best qualified advisors and experts who possess the finest knowledge on modern technologies and management related to agricultural production.

Agrozem hires the consultants – engineers of agriculture, specializing in different fields such as fruit or cattle growing.

Agrozem objective is to increase the capacities of agricultural producers through provision of advisory services to SPUNO members in order to make their products competitive on markets of Serbia and neighbouring countries.

Action Plan for 2011 includes further direct cooperation and field work with agricultural producers as well as activities related to tighter cooperation among members in order to create possibilities for equal development. Agrozem plans are to include young new consultants in their activities and organize trainings in order to offer them a chance to gain practical experience necessary for further engagement in agriculture and advisory services.

Agrozem Advisory Service beneficiaries are agricultural cooperatives, associations, enterprises and individual agricultural households.

Services and scope of activities Agrozem Advisory Service offers to its beneficiaries:

1. Making of Development Strategic Plans for the period of 3-5 years as well as making of Action Plans for each individual year
2. Development of Business Plans,
3. Trainings and seminars related to livestock production, welfare of animals, milk production,
4. Trainings and seminars related to production of fruits, establishing new plantations,
5. Support to introduction of Global Gap standards,
6. Organizing fairs, study tours and special events (like Days of Plum),
7. Providing advisory services in the fields of fruit growing, animal husbandry production and milk production.

Agrozem also provides services in the following areas:

1. Early warning system to diseases and pests through monitoring and decoding of damaging insects and plant diseases related to fruits and vegetables growing and through monitoring of weather conditions that enable development of diseases and pests, all based on information from 5 weather stations of Agrozem,
2. Informing via SMS about weather conditions, as well as sending instructions for use of appropriate chemicals for prevention of diseases, pests and weeds
3. Development of projects for cultivation of orchards, vineyards, vegetable gardens as well as their establishing,
4. Assistance with products placement.

For its users Agrozem provides advisory services of the following types:

• Providing advisory services in the field of fruit growing, cattle breeding and milk production,
• Consulting in fruit production include the entire production cycle of farming, fertilization, pruning, harvest and so on,
• The organization of practical workshops in Agrozem demo orchards of cherry, cherries, apples, peaches and plums,
• Advisory services in livestock production, practical workshops on the preparation of silage, education on animal welfare, improvement of existing facilities.
